LOPAR is based on the principle that research into the field of Phenomenal and Anomalistic claims should be approached with an unbiased and open mind through scientific means. We also feel that in order for the field of Phenomenal, Paranormal & Anomalistic research to progress all researchers must work together in league with each other to share ideas, techniques, and evidence. As with any scientific field in order for theories or evidence to be considered valid one should at least allow such data to be "peer reviewed" by other researchers and organizations in the related field of research.

We are not a strictly defined "group" in a traditional sense. Rather LOPAR was created as more of an Initiative or Project to bring people and data together.
